  • Spotting (the use of air grinders or other tools which allow the “mold spotter” to remove any material which could not be removed as part of the machining process or any material which will create future issues for the creation of parts) of slides, lifters, and inserts to ensure proper function
  • Ensure parting lines are spotted correctly to prevent flash and ensure proper sealing.
  • Collaborate with coworkers to ensure best practices are being used and followed
  • Perform mold maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs when necessary.
  • Ensure all molds comply with safety, quality, customer, and company standards.
  • Conduct precision measurements to ensure the mold's accuracy and functionality; utilization of verniers, callipers, micrometers and other measuring devices.
  • Maintain and follow detailed checklists and procedures for steps throughout the mold build process
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency.
